My child receives speech at school. Why should they see a private speech therapist?
3
Speech and Language therapy delivered through the public schools are often limited by therapist caseloads and to skills that directly impact their academic performance. Often, students are receiving services that are far too infrequent or that are delivered in a group setting when it isn’t appropriate. Private speech therapy allows kids to get dedicated one-on-one support each week and it allows them to work on goals that are impacting their quality of life outside of academic skills.

Do you accept insurance?
4
We currently are in-network with Kaiser Permanente for the Mid-Atlantic region to include DC, MD, and VA.
For all other insurances, we are out of network but can provide families with a weekly or monthly superbill to submit to insurance for possible reimbursement. Many commercial insurance plans include dedicated out of network insurance benefits and we encourage you to contact your insurance provider. We are more than happy to assist you in this process.
People learn best when they’re in their most natural environments. For many kids, home is where they are communicating the most so it makes sense that therapy is spent in their safe space talking about things that are the most relevant to them. This makes therapy as functional as possible and maximizes their ability to generalize skills.
This is also a convenient option for most families that minimizes driving to another location for services.
